Who we are
Asliya Foods is a family-owned Iraqi food brand rooted in recipes passed down through generations. Our mother gathered these recipes from both of our grandmothers, her mother and her mother-in-law, and spent more than 40 years preserving and refining them. What began in Baghdad now continues through Asliya: authentic Iraqi food prepared with care, shared with today's families, and kept true to the traditions that shaped ours.

Put your order in the freezer as soon as it arrives, or cook it the same day.
Each dish has its own method. The instructions come in the bag.

Our story
Our mother learned these recipes from her mother and her mother-in-law. She has spent more than four decades cooking them and keeping them right.
What began in Baghdad is still on our table. Same dishes, same proportions, cooked for whoever comes over.

From intimate family gatherings to weddings, community events, corporate occasions, iftars, and larger celebrations, Asliya Foods brings the depth and hospitality of authentic Iraqi cuisine to the table.
Catering menus can be built around traditional Iraqi spreads, rice dishes, grilled meats, stews, appetizers, sides, breads, desserts, and other dishes suited to the occasion.
Rather than asking every customer to choose from one fixed package, we tailor the menu and level of service to the gathering. Tell us what you are planning, the kind of Iraqi dining experience you want, and the level of service you need. We will use that information to prepare a custom quote.

Delivery & questions
We deliver across Northern Virginia and into the DMV, up to about 40 miles from our Ashburn kitchen. Delivery starts at $5 close to us and rises with distance, so nearby Ashburn and Sterling pay the least. Enter your address at checkout and it shows your exact fee before you pay. Nearby orders over $150 deliver free.
Everything is made to order, so allow 2 to 4 business days from the day you order to the day it reaches you. Nothing sits in a freezer waiting for a buyer. You will get an email confirming the order, and we will be in touch about the delivery day.
Everything in our shop is delivered frozen. Put your order straight into the freezer when it arrives, or cook and eat it that same day following the preparation instructions included with your order.
Every dish is different, so we write instructions for the dishes in your order instead of one general rule.
